Gulf County's largest annual festival will celebrate one of its greatest treasures this fall when it hosts the 19th annual Florida Scallop and Music Festival October 2-3, 2015. This year's festival will be held at George Core Park along the shore of St. Joseph Bay and will feature country music star Phil Vassar.

This year's headliner entertainer, Phil Vassar is perhaps best known for his hit "Just Another Day in Paradise" but this prolific songwriter/performer has produced eight albums over the years and hit the Top Country charts five times with hits such as "Carlene," "Last Day of My Life" and "American Child."

Vassar will take the stage Saturday evening October 3, 2015 beginning at 9 pm. Admission to see Phil Vassar is included in your Florida Scallop and Music Festival ticket.

In addition to headliner Phil Vassar, this year's event will feature John King, a talented Southern Rock and Country performer from North Georgia who is currently on the charts with his new album "On Your Lips" and hit "Tonight, Tonight."

Port St. Joe's own Charlie and Dana Black, members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, will also be performing during the two day festival along with Amanda Cook and Kennesaw Ridge, the Bo Spring Band and other talented musicians including Koncrete Soul, Buddy Hamm and Mark Swindel, CrossRoads and Thirty Three. You can see the entire schedule here.

In addition to top notch entertainment, this year's scallop festival will also feature art & craft vendors, educational exhibits, a popular kid zone and more than 50 great vendors featuring food, art and more.
